#makeSTEMviral
We want everyone to access STEM and continue to raise knowledge about it. Our #makeSTEMviral campaign developed a pledge to increase awareness for STEM fields. We hope that by promoting this initiative, more people are going to discover that anyone may aspire a career in STEM. The pledge has been signed by more than 1,000 people so far. We utilize the hashtag to promote our mission on social media, and we want aim for more signatures every day.
Lobby Meeting
We met with many political officials to discuss bills, A.3445 and S.1576B. Both bills allow students from Title 1 schools to gain access to FIRST by providing award grants that go into registration costs, materials, travel costs, and other heavy expenses to high schools. The conferences are ultimately intended to help lower the expenses of STEM. By advocating for these students we hope to inspire the next generation of innovators, creators, and problem solvers. This will encourage research in the fields of STEM without the stress that comes with financial burdens
